Intersection
3D printing, printed textures, pedestals
2018
The Intersection project explores the potential
links between a raw virtual object and its physical transposition:
by adopting some of the characteristics of a digital 3d object
(mutability, changing dimensions coordinates, faces, edges ...), we
encounter a sculptural form whose Faces and physical aspects are
interchangeable and permutable without pre-established logic.
The multiple surfaces are invested there by a play of textures which
mix photographs of various surfaces, virtual textures imitating
reality, virtual textures imitating nothing and satellite shots:
this chaotic set participates in the principle of both aesthetic and
spatial inconsistency, which dominates and justifies this project.
The overall vision joins the macroscopic and the image becomes an
object, a multitude of objects, a swarm of faces.
